Adding a 'Add to Favourites' link in XS Nav Menus

Postby MrBass on Wed Sep 21, 2005 7:09 am

Posted this in the General Chat forum but it might be handy to have it in the FAQ.

If you're using UseLess' XS Nav Menus and you'd like one of your menus to include a link to enable users to add your page as a favourite then this is what you do.

Open ACP -> eXtreme Styles -> XS Nav Menus

Create a new menu block if required.

Within the required menu block type Add to Favourites and click Create Menu

In the Link URL box type:
Code: Select all
#" onClick="javascript:window.external.AddFavorite(location.href, document.title);" onMouseOver="window.status='Add {site_name} to your Favourites'; return true" onMouseOut="window.status=''; return true" rel="sidebar" title="{site_name}"

Set all the other values as required and, when complete, click Update

Return to the Menu Navigation screen and position the new menu where required.

Note: This has been successfully tested within IE and Opera.
