:arrow: Problem: My forum keeps logging me out, what shall I do?

:arrow: Solution:

1) Make sure you have run the required database updates. To run the required updates there will be a file called install/update_to_latest.php in the phpBB changed files package. Upload this file and run it once in your browser.

2) Make sure you have made changes to admin/board_config_body.tpl that are required for phpBB 2.0.18. These are outlined below (subsilver changes):
Code: Select all

#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------

admin/board_config_body.tpl

#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------

   <tr>
       <td class="row1">{L_VISUAL_CONFIRM}<br /><span class="gensmall">{L_VISUAL_CONFIRM_EXPLAIN}</span></td>
       <td class="row2"><input type="radio" name="enable_confirm" value="1" {CONFIRM_ENABLE} />{L_YES}&nbsp; &nbsp;<input type="radio" name="enable_confirm" value="0" {CONFIRM_DISABLE} />{L_NO}</td>
   </tr>

#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]------------------------------------------

   <tr>
       <td class="row1">{L_ALLOW_AUTOLOGIN}<br /><span class="gensmall">{L_ALLOW_AUTOLOGIN_EXPLAIN}</span></td>
       <td class="row2"><input type="radio" name="allow_autologin" value="1" {ALLOW_AUTOLOGIN_YES} />{L_YES}&nbsp; &nbsp;<input type="radio" name="allow_autologin" value="0" {ALLOW_AUTOLOGIN_NO} />{L_NO}</td>
   </tr>
   <tr>
       <td class="row1">{L_AUTOLOGIN_TIME} <br /><span class="gensmall">{L_AUTOLOGIN_TIME_EXPLAIN}</span></td>
       <td class="row2"><input class="post" type="text" size="3" maxlength="4" name="max_autologin_time" value="{AUTOLOGIN_TIME}" /></td>
   </tr>

For those of you who use styles from this website you can simply upload the subsilver default one included with phpBB 2.0.18 package.

3) Whilst we are here, make sure you have updated your login_body.tpl and if necassary (depends on your style) index_body.tpl Changes for this are outlined below (subsilver changes):
Code: Select all

#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------

index_body.tpl

#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------

       <input class="post" type="password" name="password" size="10" maxlength="32" />
       &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;{L_AUTO_LOGIN}
       <input class="text" type="checkbox" name="autologin" />
       &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

#-----[ REPLACE WITH ]------------------------------------------

       <input class="post" type="password" name="password" size="10" maxlength="32" />
       <!-- BEGIN switch_allow_autologin -->
       &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;{L_AUTO_LOGIN}
       <input class="text" type="checkbox" name="autologin" />
       <!-- END switch_allow_autologin -->
       &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------

login_body.tpl

#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------

         <tr align="center">
           <td colspan="2"><span class="gen">{L_AUTO_LOGIN}: <input type="checkbox" name="autologin" /></span></td>
         </tr>

#-----[ REPLACE WITH ]------------------------------------------

         <!-- BEGIN switch_allow_autologin -->
         <tr align="center">
           <td colspan="2"><span class="gen">{L_AUTO_LOGIN}: <input type="checkbox" name="autologin" /></span></td>
         </tr>
         <!-- END switch_allow_autologin -->
