Greetings,

Well check the edits and or the configuration of the mod and also make sure you have uploaded the images for the downloads. Or read this: viewtopic.php?t=12248

Useless, to bad but the DL Link is down.
I've used the code from here
viewtopic.php?p=80145#80145

Images are in the right folder - what i miss is the "Description' 'Size' ...and the LINK 'Download' in the table.

Guess all other will work.

#EDIT: This should be the responsible Part lang_main_attach.php

Code: Select all
// Viewtopic -> Display of Attachments
$lang['Description'] = 'Description'; // used in Administration Panel too...
$lang['Downloaded'] = 'Downloaded';
$lang['Download'] = 'Download'; // this Language Variable is defined in lang_admin.php too, but we are unable to access it from the main Language File
$lang['Filesize'] = 'Filesize';
$lang['Viewed'] = 'Viewed';
$lang['Download_number'] = '%d Time(s)'; // replace %d with count
$lang['Extension_disabled_after_posting'] = 'The Extension \'%s\' was deactivated by an board admin, therefore this Attachment is not displayed.'; // used in Posts and PM's, replace %s with mime type

I've checked vietopic.php + the template, all seems to be ok

attachment_mod for Aphrodite

Postby Alexander George on Tue Oct 31, 2006 2:18 pm

Quite a long topic. At the end of the day, is there a pre-modded Aphrodite template that will work perfectly with attachment_mod? If so, could someone direct me to it?

Thank you!

Hi Alexander George,

thx for the PM.
I dont know if the Mod is EasyMod compatible,
i've made all changes manually.
Since it is a large Mod you should be very carefully,
if not you get equal probs like me.

If you follow the instructions exactly then it works

Thanks. Maybe this is a really really basic question, but ...

If I've already installed attachment_mod to subSilver, are all the changes to files outside of the templates folder already done. So, all I need to do is follow instructions regarding how to alter files within the ca_aphrodite folder?

If so, when the instructions in install.txt of attachment_mod say (for instance):

Code: Select all
copy attachment_mod/templates/subSilver/admin/attach_manage_body.tpl to templates/subSilver/admin/attach_manage_body.tpl

do I then copy:

attachment_mod/templates/subSilver/admin/attach_manage_body.tpl

to:

templates/ca_aphrodite/admin/attach_manage_body.tpl

Thanks! (I'm new at this!)

Alex.

more on aphrodite and attach_mod

Postby Alexander George on Tue Oct 31, 2006 4:08 pm

So, if I've already modded subSilver, all I need to do is alter the files in templates/aphrodite/, i.e., to perform the same operations on them that the installation instructions say to perform on the files in templates/subSilver?

Thanks.

Greetings,

In answer to your question, yes.

Where the instructions say;
Code: Select all
copy some_dir/some_other_dir/templates/subSilver/<template_name>.tpl
to
templates/subSilver/<template_name>.tpl

then all you do is replace 'subSilver' with the name of the style you want to apply the mod to.

Then in the installation instructions, once the mod is install to subSilver and the phpBB core files (the php files) then you can skip down the install file to the template changes and where it asks you to;
Code: Select all
#
#-----[ OPEN ]---------------------------------------------
#
templates/subSilver/modcp_body.tpl

again you replace 'subSilver' with the name of the style you wish to apply the mod to and open that file and make the changes as specified. However, not all styles are clones of subSilver and therefore you may not find 'exectly' what your asked to. However, using the above file as an example the next instruction is to;
Code: Select all
#
#-----[ FIND ]---------------------------------------------
# around line 27
     <td class="row1">&nbsp;<span class="topictitle">{topicrow.TOPIC_TYPE}<a href="{topicrow.U_VIEW_TOPIC}" class="topictitle">{topicrow.TOPIC_TITLE}</a></span></td>

You won't find the above in Aphrodite due to the way the style was built, therefore the HTML is different but the template vars, the things within {} are common to ANY style. The line that does the same as the above is;
Code: Select all
   <td class="row1h" onclick="window.location.href='{topicrow.U_VIEW_TOPIC}'">&nbsp;<span class="topictitle">{topicrow.TOPIC_TYPE}<a href="{topicrow.U_VIEW_TOPIC}" class="topictitle">{topicrow.TOPIC_TITLE}</a></span></td>

So instead of trying to find the whole line looking for a template var, in this case;
Code: Select all
{topicrow.TOPIC_TYPE}

would get you in the area you want to be in to make the required change and as the next instruction is an 'IN-LINE FIND' and were are now looking for exactly what we found then simply adding;
Code: Select all
{topicrow.TOPIC_ATTACHMENT_IMG}

before;
Code: Select all
{topicrow.TOPIC_TYPE}

completes that step.

The completed line then looks like;
Code: Select all
   <td class="row1h" onclick="window.location.href='{topicrow.U_VIEW_TOPIC}'">&nbsp;<span class="topictitle">{topicrow.TOPIC_ATTACHMENT_IMG}{topicrow.TOPIC_TYPE}<a href="{topicrow.U_VIEW_TOPIC}" class="topictitle">{topicrow.TOPIC_TITLE}</a></span></td>

I've highlighed the added bit in the above.

So instead of trying to find the whole line looking for a template var, in this case;
Code: Select all
{topicrow.TOPIC_TYPE}

You then do similar things for the other template changes, if you cannot find what the instructions ask for see if there is a template var in there and find that instead as it will be there.

PLEASE HELP

Postby ahunter on Thu Nov 09, 2006 9:58 pm

Okay, everything works fine....except I cannot see attachments on posts. However, I can see them on private messages. I made all of the necessary modifications to the ca_aphrodite template. Do I also need to mod subsilver template?
