What I would like to see from the site...

Postby Greg on Tue Jan 25, 2005 9:25 pm

Some tutorials which start off simple and then move up to advance level, eg. Starts off with simply getting information from a database and showing it. Then moving up to selecting certain data then selecting certain data from a form.

A way users can rank a tutorial out of 10 for simplisity, usefulness (somthings like that)

A link to where you can view the script in action.

Comments system

I will think of some more later, you may already have some of those ideas though

Thanks,
Greg

Adverts, yeah, have a few adverts but please don't have as many as tutorialized.com - they trick you and it is a really really annoying.

Thanks,

It will be a different website.

Very soon I expect to release new website: phptutorials.biz
That domain name is temporary and might be changed later if I'll find better name.

That website is about php tutorials. Users will be able to submit tutorials, discuss tutorials. All tutorials will be categorized for fast access. It will be integrated with its own forum (not phpbbstyles.com) where users will be able to ask questions.

Thanks,

Greg

I also have a view questions about this site and well as I didnt want to start a separate thread I ask them here.

1
Will this website also allow people to submit ready to use downloadable scripts??(I'm working on my own shoutbox script and putting more and more advanced and dynamic stuff in it)
So could such scripts be submitted there.

2
I don't get it about the engine.
Will this site engine be downloadable so you can implement it on your own websites??

3
We're april so you should update the "when it will be ready" date in your post
It never hurts to help.....

About that site... sorry, but I desided to cancel it in favour of my own forum software.
Do NOT pm me, I don't visit this forum anymore, don't own it, don't provide any support and don't moderate.
About that site... sorry, but I desided to cancel it in favour of my own forum software.
I think it was for the better, I'd love to use your fork of phpbb - it would be awesome (comming from you).

Was the php site going to be "learnphp.org"? As some of your pages (posting.php?mode=smilies) it says "Design by phpbbstyles.com for learnphp.org".

Yes. And Aphrodite style is based on nice tableless design that I created for that website.

Second language

Postby gohome on Thu Apr 16, 2009 7:59 am

A mother mouse was out for a stroll with her babies when she spotted a cat crouched behind a bush. She watched the cat, and the cat watched the mice.

Mother mouse barked fiercely, "Woof, woof, woof!" The cat was so terrified that it ran for it's life.

Mother mouse turned to her babies and said, "Now, do you understand the value of a second language?"
